VBS Reunion Swim Party
Everyone is invited to attend our VBS Reunion Swim Party! We'll meet at church at 5:30, Thursday, July 10, and go to the Lewisburg Rec. Center for two hours of swimming and fun. Bring a towel, and make sure you eat before you come, because we will not be eating at the Rec. Center. Parents can pick you up back at church at 8:15 p.m. Don't miss it!
VBS a HUGE success!!
VBS was fantastic!! We registered 72 children and 44 adults, making it the biggest year we've had since my tenure at Friendship! We also had 6 children make decisions to accept Jesus! Praise the Lord! I'm so proud of all of you for telling your friends about our VBS, and bringing so many of them with you! We had a lot of fun, and we learned all about God's unshakeable truth! I'm already looking forward to nex year!

Go-Carts and Mini-Golf
Do you like to go fast? Do you think you can hit a hole-in-one? It's time to prove it! Saturday, May 17 all children through 6th grade are invited to go to Columbia to ride go-carts and play putt-putt. We'll meet at church at 10:30 and take the van to Columbia, where we'll have the whole golf and go-cart course to ourselves for two hours! There is a height requirement to drive the go-carts alone, but if you're not quite tall enough, you can still drive a double car if an adult rides with you. We'll take a break from our play around noon, and eat pizza at the picnic tables. After a little more play-time, we'll head back to church, where you can be picked up around 1:15. Bring a friend!

VBS music available!
If you were in Sunday school yesterday, you should have recieved a CD of our music for vbs. We have enough to provide one copy per family. If your family didn't get one, please let me know. Listen to the CD! Learn the music! I think this year's music is the best in a long time. The songs are lots of fun, and not too hard to learn. And join us at 7:oo p.m. Wednesday nights to learn the moves to the songs! We're having a blast!

I'm so excited about Vacation Bible School! This year our adventure takes us to Outrigger Island, a fictional tropical island where we learn to know, speak, and live God's unshakeable truth. Mark your calendars now for June 8-13, and plan to be at Friendship for lots of great music, fun, and studying God's word. Check back here often for more info about VBS and our Luau kick-off event! We will get started at 10:30 in the morning, with children age 2 through kindergarten hunting first. After the hunt, we'll play some games and have a snack. Bring a basket and a friend, and join us for a good time!
Children's Ministry Day 2008
February 16 was Children's Ministry Day, a day when children at Baptist churches across the country participated in mission projects. This year's theme was hunger, and it was our first year to participate. Our project was to prepare and deliver meals to shut-ins from our community. We had seven children and three adults participate. The children prepared baked chicken, baked potatoes, rolls, and pudding, which we delivered to three ladies. I'm sure the ladies enjoyed the food, but I think what they loved most was the visit from our children. Good job to all who took part! What a wonderful way to show God's love! Thanks, Katee and Carol, for your dedication to our kids!
